There are hundreds of channels.
Most of them say the same thing.
Channel 99 doesn’t.
Somewhere between late-night subway rides, rooftop antennas, television static, anime marathons, and cassette tapes played until they stretched, a different signal has always existed. You just had to know where to find it.
This collection is that signal.
Not licensed.
Not approved.
Just broadcast.
Channel 99 is our unauthorized frequency, a place where The City collides with the stories that shaped an entire generation. Hip-hop. Anime. Graffiti. Arcade culture. Kung fu films. Bootleg DVDs. Comic pages folded inside backpacks. Mixtapes passed from hand to hand. Cultures that weren’t supposed to intersect, but somehow became one language.
Every graphic is a transmission.
Every design is another broadcast from somewhere in the city.
Inspired by different neighborhoods, different frequencies, and different moments after dark, each release captures a unique transmission from New York. Some signals are loud. Others are hidden. But they’re all connected.
The collection reimagines familiar worlds through an FKONYC lens, creating original conversations between legendary music and iconic animation without simply repeating what already exists. They’re remixes born from memory, not copies.
From neon skylines to concrete corners.
From underground stations to glowing storefronts.
From one borough to the next.
The broadcast keeps moving.
Channel 99 isn’t about nostalgia.
It’s about recognizing that these stories never stopped influencing how we dress, create, and move through the city.
This isn’t a collaboration.
It’s a collision.
A pirate transmission cutting through the noise.
Some broadcasts disappear after they’re aired.
This one is happening now.
Stay tuned.
